Karen Elizabeth (Boyce) Maly was born on September 24, 1942 in Newark NJ. She passed away at home surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer on January 15, 2020 at the age of 78.

Karen was the beloved wife of 54 years to her devoted husband Richard Maly and the loving mother of Eileen Freeman and her husband Mark and Stephen Maly and his wife Maria. She was also survived by her cherished sister, Janis Coty; two grandchildren, that she adored, Ciara and Christopher Freeman; one niece, Jessica Coty Bollinger; two nephews, Shawn and Ryan Boyce; six great nieces and nephews, James, Laura and Tarin Boyce; Samuel, Maxwell, and Jack Bollinger.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, James Boyce and Lillian Page; her brother, James Boyce; her grandmother, Eileen Flynn.

Karen graduated from Battin High School in Elizabeth New Jersey. She was employed by and retired from PRMMI in Elizabeth. She was in charge of Office Services and Purchasing.

Karen and Rich spent their days helping with their grandchildren...the best cherished moments of Karen’s life. They resided in Westfield, New Jersey for 42 years. They moved to Ponte Vedra, Florida in 2015 where they read together, relaxed on their lanai and spent days at the beach and with each other. Karen attended and volunteered at her Church St. John Paul II.

Karen was devoted to her family, extended family, and friends. Being with, calling to catch up, helping, sharing their days, ideas, thoughts, opinions, and suggestions was part of who she was. She was selfless, loving, kind, and will be heartbreakingly missed.
