Keith John Pflug, 71, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away July 12, 2020. He was born June 6, 1949, in Jersey City, New Jersey, to Harry and Dorothy (Schmitt) Pflug. Keith was a retired U.S. Navy Captain and Vietnam War Veteran. He was immensely proud of his Vietnam active duty, steering the Fiske Naval Ship, and traveling to 26 countries all over the world with the United States Navy. Keith earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from St. John’s University. He enjoyed all types of exercise, especially jogging; Keith loved to read, and work on his cars, in particular his GTO, Mustang, Corvette, and Grand Prix; he also had his own go-cart that his dad lovingly built for him when he was eleven years old. Keith enjoyed taking his family on vacations to fantastic destinations: Puerto Rico, Curacao, Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach, and Virginia Beach, just to name a few. Keith’s greatest pleasure and source of pride was his family; he was their hero. From watching his son and daughter in swim meets, to cherished Sunday family dinners cooked by Krista, while their favorite song played over and over again, Keith treasured his family dearly and loved to make them happy. He loved and lived life to the fullest and will be extremely missed by his loving wife, Susan; wonderful son, Bryan; and beautiful daughter, Krista. Private family services will be held, followed by burial with Military Honors at Ponte Vedra Valley.
