Kristy Jansson passed away on March 2, 2025, at her home in St. Johns, Florida. Born on January 6, 1979, in Jerseyville, Illinois, she was the beloved daughter of Garneta Kraushaar Willis and Verl Dewayne Willis.

A graduate of Bushnell High School in Illinois, Kristy pursued her passion for helping others by studying dental hygiene at Illinois Central College in Peoria. On August 17, 2007, she married Christer Jansson, her devoted partner and soulmate.

Kristy’s world revolved around love, especially the deep bond she shared with her husband and their three children: Sahara, Haven, and Lillian. She also held close ties to her mother; brothers, Clayton Willis and Daniel Willis; nephew Greyson Willis; and nieces, Emily Willis, Danica Willis, and Isabella Willis.

A soul rich with creativity and determination, Kristy brought beauty into every corner of her life. Whether tending to her garden’s bloom, filling canvases with color through painting and drawing, or cooking meals that warmed both heart and home, she poured intention into everything she touched. Her hands were always busy crafting joy, her heart always open to those she loved.

Her funeral service was held on March 11, 2025, at Ponte Vedra Valley Funeral Home.

Kristy’s light continues to shine in the hearts of those who knew her. May her memory be a gentle comfort and enduring inspiration.
