Lawrence W. Warnock, 90, died Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Community Hospice McGraw Center for Caring.  He was born on January 22, 1934 in Indianapolis, IN to Irene (Wood) and Dwight Warnock.  

He graduated Morris Harvey College in Charleston, WV in 1959 after briefly serving in the U.S. Navy. After college, Larry went to work for Atlas Chemical Corporation and The Burroughs Corporation. He was transferred to Tampa, FL where he met Betty Barnett. They were married on August 2, 1964. Larry & Betty moved to Jacksonville in 1967 where they bought their first home and raised their son, Jeff. After several jobs, Larry went to work for the City of Jacksonville in 1973, and he retired as an Assistant Information Systems Officer in 1996. Ultimately, Larry and Betty moved to Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, where they enjoyed working part time at the TPC Golf Course; going to the beach; and traveling with friends. Larry was a member of Ponte Vedra Church.  

Larry is survived by his son, daughter-in-law – Kate, and two grandchildren – Abby and Evan. He was preceded in death by his lovely wife, parents and younger brother  – Dwight Warnock, Jr. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, January 25, at Ponte Vedra Valley Funeral Home.
