Linda Cruz, 79, of Ponte Vedra, FL, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020. She was born Linda Gonzalez on February 21, 1941, in East Chicago, IL, to Matilda Santillan and Arturo Gonzalez.
This day also marked the 63rd anniversary to her husband, Louis Cruz Jr.
Linda dedicated 25 plus years to working in the courts of Lake County Indiana. Those years were spent in numerous administrative roles with her last as administrative assistant to her lifelong friend and Lake County Prosecutor, Bernard Carter.
She is survived by her husband, Louis Cruz, Jr.; her son, Louis J. Cruz (Gina); daughters, Lisa Simonovski (Jim), Lori Cruz and her son, William Cruz (Jane); loving adopted niece, Dolores Hernandez; loving sister, Tina Brodhagen (Ron); most beloved grandchildren, Louis Michael Cruz, Kristopher Simonovski, Anthony Law, Meghan Cruz, Lindsy Simonovski, Mackenzie Cruz, Alysa Cruz and Hailey Cruz; precious great grandchildren, Caleb Cruz and Adalyn Simonovski.
Services will be held at St. John Paul II Catholic Church in Ponte Vedra, FL, on Friday, November 6, 2020, with the Rosary at 10:00 am and the Funeral Mass at 10:30 am.
