Louanne Wolff, 80, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026. Louanne was a devoted and loving wife to her husband of over 48 years, Richard Wolff, who will cherish their time together.  

Louanne was born in Tennessee and was a proud Navy brat who as a child enjoyed growing up in such duty stations as Guantanamo Bay Cuba and the Panama Canal Zone before settling in Florida. Louanne retired after 38 years working for the Navy ending her career as the Deputy Supply Officer at Trident Refit Facility Subase Kings Bay. She proudly enjoyed her many warehouse workers and drivers proudly referring to themselves as “Mother’s Truckers” and to them jokingly singing the song “We Fought the Law and the Law (Louanne Wolff) Won”. Prior career positions included major supply positions at NAS Cecil field, NAS Jacksonville and Naval Supply Center Jacksonville, which she helped establish in 1982. For her outstanding civil service career she was awarded one Superior and two Meritorious Civil Service Medals/Awards.

After retiring she volunteered as a Florida Long Term Care Ombudsman, safeguarding the lives of those living in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. She also served as a tutor for those going for their U.S. citizenship exam and was a proud supporter and donor to Wolfson Children’s Hospital. Louanne had a love for reading, always maintained an extensive library and would take every opportunity to enjoy a good book.

Louanne loved to travel having visited 4 continents, 60 nations, and most every state in the U.S. Whether it was riding a camel in North Africa, touring the palaces of Russia, staying in chateaus throughout Europe or sailing the oceans on cruise ships around Europe, South America and the Caribbean; travel was in her blood.  

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Louanne’s memory are encouraged to toast her with a glass of wine and make a donation to Wolfson Children’s Hospital.
