Malcolm Luther Moody, age 53, passed away in his home Sunday, March 16th, 2025, in St. Augustine, Florida.

Malcolm was born on February 20, 1972, in Jacksonville, Florida to Robert and Lavinia Moody. He had a deep love for music and throughout his life he trained a beautiful baritone voice. He has participated in many musical groups and had many vocal accolades including choir and musical theater in his education. He received his Eagle Scout at the age of 16.

At the age of 19, he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints in San Jose, California. He received an education in communications at Brigham Young University, where he met the love of his life Vera Clifford. He and Vera married in 1993 in the Jordan River Utah Temple. They enjoyed 32 years of marriage and have five daughters.

Malcolm enjoyed spending his time with his family as he found deep fulfillment in being a son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed lifelong service in various leadership capacities in his religious community. He had a successful career in information technology with over 30 years in the financial services field. His passions included cinema, music, performing arts, literature, food, family, and spreadsheets. He is well known by friends and family for his Christlike love, empathy, and compassion.

Malcolm is survived by his wife, Vera; his daughters, Ashley (Alex), Anna, Lauren, Megan, and Katelyn; his grandsons, Liam and Jackson; his parents, Lavinia and Robert Moody; and his siblings, April, Adam, Mat, and Aaron.

We will miss you dearly and will always carry your lessons, laughter, and love in our hearts.

His funeral will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints, at 5490 County Rd 210 W, Saint Johns, FL 32259, on Saturday March 22, 2025, at 1pm. There will be a viewing open to the public before the funeral service from 10:30 am -12:30 pm. After the funeral there will be an internment service at Ponte Vedra Valley Cemetery, 4750 Palm Valley Road, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082, that will start at 3:30 pm. Following that, there will be a meal held at the church open to anyone at 5pm.
