Margaret (Peggy) Ann Thomas, 80, a resident of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, passed peacefully to a better place on April 13, 2022.
She was born to Michael A. and Virginia Mary (Spaniola) Chiodo on March 22, 1942, in Muskegon, Michigan.
Peggy graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central High School, and then received her Bachelors in Education and Masters in Special Education from Western Michigan University. After college she became a well respected classroom educator with a tenure spanning 29 years. She married Jimmie B. Thomas on June 25, 1983.
Peggy relished her time on the golf course and card games with friends. Being always ready to go somewhere, her favorite place was her home state of Michigan, especially on the shores of Lake Michigan, along with trips to Las Vegas with her sister and cousins. Peggy's infectious smile and lightning wit, for which she will always be remembered, made many friends. With her spontaneous demeanor she lived a full life, with a way of casting worry aside.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Paul. Peggy is survived by her loving husband, Jimmie Thomas of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida; her sister, Carolyn Mulder of Muskegon, Michigan; sister-in-law, Sara (Harold) Faulkner; step-sons, Marty (Suna) Thomas, of Timnath, Colorado, and Boyd Thomas of Port Clinton, Ohio; four step-grandchildren, Noel, Evan, Olivia, and Elliott Thomas; nieces and nephews, James (Judith) Mulder, David (Cheryl) Mulder, Rebecca (Bradley) Billinghurst, Nancy (Mike) Campo, Steven (Karen) Chiodo, Carol Chiodo, David (Leslie) Faulkner, Mark(Terri) Faulkner.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in both Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, and Muskegon, Michigan. Time and dates to be determined and will be updated online once finalized.
