Mark Richard Kallman passed peacefully on November 5, 2022, at the Halifax Health Hospital Port Orange Care Center.

Born on February 19, 1956, he was the second of four boys born to Dr. Harold and Sheila Kallman. Mark grew up playing multiple sports, traveling with his family, and studying Torah. He was a proud graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where he studied physical therapy. As a physical therapist, he practiced in the hospital setting with a broad background in critical care rehabilitation.  When recently asked he stated how he was proudest of his forty-four-year career as a physical therapist. This was shown through the many lives he touched.

Mark was married to his wife, Diane (Nienstedt) of thirty-eight years.  Together, they raised three children, Jacklyn Hammer (Peter), Melissa Elpern (Jacob) and Gregory Kallman, who he was very proud of their accomplishments. Mark was a member of Temple Israel Deland where he enjoyed Torah Study, services, and sharing his faith with others.

In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by his mother, two brothers and was pre-deceased by his father and his older brother.

Mark will be remembered for his love of sports, music, good food, fishing and times with family. Funeral services to be private with a memorial service at Temple Israel Deland at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Temple Israel Deland in honor of Mark. Our thanks to all the wonderful healthcare providers who provided Mark comfort during his journey.
