Marsha Atran Miller of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away June 5, 2020, at the age of 79. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Alice Elkins and Carl Atran. She was preceded in death by her husband of many years, Dr. Robert Miller. Marsha is survived by her beloved niece, Andrea Atran and other family and friends. Family was always a central focus in Marsha’s life. She was a devoted wife, caring daughter and sister, and a loving aunt.
Marsha graduated from Overbrook High School in 1958, and then went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Education from Temple University. She was a dedicated teacher to her students and taught the subjects of English and Reading to a variety of grade levels. In life, Marsha was strong, smart, beautiful, and kind.
Marsha and Bob met on the beach in Atlantic City when she was in high school and he was in college. After marriage, they were an unstoppable team and throughout the years their beautiful homes were filled with music, books, and extended family.
A private family graveside service will be held at Ponte Vedra Valley.
