Marsha Dash born on March 17, 1942, in Brooklyn, NY, loved her children and family with a passion that all of us will miss. Unlike her children, she always had a smile on her face even during rough times. Marsha instilled in her children a sense of wonder that led them to find success in everything they did. She had a wicked sense of humor, and our best moments were spent laughing.

What she didn’t have in material wealth, she made up for with love. And with that love, she shared with us such abundance. The world and all who knew her are better having experienced her love. We will miss her every day for the rest of our lives, and all that we are, and will be, is a testament to the wealth of love she leaves behind with us. She sacrificed everything to help us live our best lives.

Marsha died as she lived surrounded by the people she loved, smiling to herself knowing that despite her children still arguing to her end, they would be okay and carry on her legacy of love.

She is survived by the loves of her life: children, Beth Small (Dan), Nicole Dash (Carlos) and Jeffrey Dash (Min); grandchildren, Sam, Josh, Oliver, and Sofia; great granddaughter, Rylee; extended family, Sandra, Gus, Nathan and Matthew; and, her brother, Lenny Cohen (Jennifer).

“Mama was my greatest teacher, a teacher of compassion, love and fearlessness. If love is sweet as a flower, then my mother is that sweet flower of love.” – Stevie Wonder
