Marsha Lynn (Clouse) Thranhardt passed serenely under the loving care of Community Hospice on June 14th, 2024. At her bedside were her daughters: Shawn Hooks, Aimee Thranhardt, Meghan Thranhardt; son, Derick Thranhardt and husband, Fred. She is also survived by her grandchildren, whom she loved so much: Cole, Parker and Marina Hooks; their father, Wright Hooks; Clara and Mac Thranhardt; and mother, Katie Thranhardt.
Marsha is the daughter of Bettie Lee and Dr. John Ed Clouse of Griffin, Georgia who preceded her in passing. She has two siblings: Chip Clouse (deceased) and Louise Magill. Marsha spent her formative years in Griffin enjoying horseback riding, painting and traveling. She attended Emory at Oxford University.
During her married life -- of over 50 years -- spent in Athens, Georgia and Ponte Vedra, Florida, she continued her love of travel with special enjoyment of trips to Europe, Africa, Australia and New Zealand, coveting the special times with her family. She was extraordinary in her love and care of her children.
Her strong faith carried her through the many joys and tribulations that life can deliver. She is at peace now and will be interred at Ponte Vedra Valley Cemetery, following a private family graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating to Water for Good or the Alzheimer's Association.
