MaryAnne V. Higgins, 85, a resident of the Starling Nocatee Community, St John’s County, Florida, formerly of Center Valley, Pennsylvania, passed away on December 1, 2023.  She was the loving wife of the late William Rodgers Higgins.  Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Primo Pontuto and Mary (Peregino) Pontuto.  MaryAnne graduated from South Philadelphia High School, and earned an associate’s degree in early childhood education from Montgomery County Community College, Blue Bell, PA.   MaryAnne worked and volunteered in various capacities in early childhood education while raising her three children, in Blue Bell, PA.  

Above all, MaryAnne enjoyed raising, nurturing, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She loved time with her family and cherished frequent visits and vacation time spent with her children, grandchildren, sisters, nieces, and nephews.  She was an avid tennis player and could always be found on the courts while her children were in school.  

MaryAnne is survived by her Sons, Robert Costantini and his wife, Vanessa of Ponte Vedra, FL;  Michael Costantini of Pompano Beach, FL; Grandchildren, Christopher Costantini of Jacksonville, FL;  Timothy Costantini of Gainesville, FL; Katie Costantini of Solana Beach, CA; Rachel Costantini of Allentown, PA; and Sisters, Norma Franco of Swarthmore, PA; June Gregorio of Philadelphia, PA.  She was preceded in death by husband, Rodgers Higgins, son, Marc Costantini, brother, Fred Pontuto, and sisters Veronica Pinto, Viola Addeo, Rosemary Paci, Irene Menna, and Beatrice Venini.  

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024, 2 pm at Ponte Vedra Valley.
