Matthew Anson Davis, a Senior Director of Claims Transformation and resident of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, died unexpectedly on November 13, 2020 at the age of 36. 

Matt is survived by his wife, Kelli Anderson Davis; his daughter, Isabelle James Davis; parents, Michael (Linda) Davis, Celeste (Laurence) Kroll, James (Sandra) Anderson; his siblings, Andrew (Ashley) Davis, Ryan (Annia) Hanson, Jennifer (Scott) Kaltman, Jon (Nicole) Anderson; his nieces and nephews, Holt and Charles Davis, Jeremy Calvert, Abigail Kaltman, Bailey and Ryan Anderson. He was preceded in death by his brother, Brent Calvert

Matt was born in Gainesville, FL, to James Michael Davis and Celeste De la Cuesta Davis Kroll.  He is a graduate from Gainesville High School and the University of Florida, with a master’s degree in Decision and Information Sciences in 2007.  Matt has worked at Florida Blue for the last 10 years.  In 2017, he married the love of his life, Kelli, in Fernandina Beach, FL, alongside their closest family and friends.  In 2018 he welcomed his beautiful daughter, Isabelle James Davis, who was the most important part of his life.

Matt was a devoted father and husband.  He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his friends & family, Gator football, and traveling.  Matt was also a problem-solver who took on difficult projects at work.  He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him as he had a positive impact on everyone he got to know.  

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 10:00 am on Monday, November 23, 2020 at The Fountain of Youth in St. Augustine, FL. We are following COVID mask and distance policies at the outdoor celebration.
