Matthew Taylor Howick, 34, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2026, at NCH Baker Hospital in Naples, FL.

Matthew was born in Virginia Beach, Va, on December 27, 1991. Matthew was a chef at Coopers Hawk in Fort Myers, FL, and was beloved by those he worked with and were close to him in life.

Matthew lived life to the fullest with numerous accolades. He was an Eagle Scout, a phenomenal chef, a fitness buff, a car enthusiast; and a loving father, brother, and fiancé.

Matthew is survived by his two children, Cooper and Mia (Amanda); mother, Cindy Howick; brothers, Dylan and Kyle; and fiancée, Maggie

A viewing will be held from 5-7 PM on Saturday, September 26, 2026 and a Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, September 27, 2026 at 1:00 PM, both at Ponte Vedra Valley Funeral Home, 4750 Palm Valley Rd, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082.
