Michael Joseph Primeaux, 56, of Saint Johns, FL, entered his eternal rest on Thursday, October 23, 2025. He was beloved by family and friends alike. He was born in Beaumont, TX to Ogden and Glenda Primeaux. They moved to Jackson, TN, where he graduated from Northside High School. He received his nursing degree from Union University and earned his master’s degree as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) from Vanderbilt University.

Upon graduation, Mike worked as a nurse at Jackson Madison County General Hospital, Medical Specialty Clinic, Jackson Pulmonary, and Methodist Germantown. Mike was also a professor at Union University prior to working in men’s health. In 2017, Mike helped open men’s clinics in Jacksonville and Tampa, Florida.

Mike was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Jackson, TN, Faith Baptist Arlington, TN, and First Baptist Church Nocatee, FL where he served in the children and youth departments for over 30 years and was affectionately known as “Mr. Mike” or “Mikey P.”

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ogden and Glenda Primeaux; and his siblings, Rodney Primeaux, Julie DeVersa, Joey Primeaux, Cathy Goodrich, and Belinda Garcia. He is survived by his wife, Tamara Rogers Primeaux; his children, Chris and Mica Primeaux; his stepmother, Peggy Primeaux; siblings, Toni (Billy) Maness, Roger DeVersa, and Felicia (Charlie) Scott; and many other family members.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday October 28, 2025, from 1-2pm with a service at 2pm at Ponte Vedra Valley Funeral Home, 4750 Palm Valley Road, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.

A second visitation will be held on November 1, 2025, from 11-1pm with a service at 1pm at Arrington Funeral Directors, 148 W. University Parkway, Jackson, TN.
