Muriel Rose, 89, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away November 29, 2023.

On December 31, 1933, Joseph and Evelyn Meyer were presented with the adorable and tax deductible package, Muriel Joan Meyer (Skeezie) in Chicago, Ill.

She attended Senn High School. Soon after her graduation, she met the love of her life, Howard N Rose on Miami Beach Florida and they tied the knot in 1952. She then attended Northwestern Vniversity and in 1956 she received a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She taught primary education at Randolph Air Force Base In Texas and third grade in Miami, Dade County School System. Muriel and Howard had a rich and plentiful life traveling and enjoying each other's company. They moved to Ponte Vedra, FL in 1982. Muriel was the host for many fabulous parties and had a rich social life. She enjoyed going to the Symphony, Art Museums, Cruising and Formal Achievement events.

They adopted three special and beautiful children at birth, Marc Alan Rose, Mitchell Jay Rose, and Laurel Nancy Rose. Muriel's hobbies included, needlepoint, Docent at the Cummer Museum of Art (where she was lauded Docent of the Year), reading, cooking, and especially being a philatelist (stamp collector). She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and two nephews. Muriel's passing was due to her dementia.

She will forever be remembered as having a heart of gold and the bond that held our family together.
