Nair Kozyra, 81, died peacefully Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at her home in St. Augustine, Florida.  She was born on June 6, 1942, in Santa Rosa, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil to Miguel and Maria (Powarczuk) Solodcoff.  She graduated from Colegio Batista Americana in Porto Alegre, Brazil in 1960.  Nair married Ryszard Kozyra in Porto Alegre, Brazil on July 24, 1965.  

Nair and her husband Ryszard moved to and from Brazil to the United States several times, settled in Chicago, IL and its suburbs for many years, before relocating to sunny Florida in 2021.  Nair worked for many years at Bankers Life and Casualty and worked her way up to healthcare claims adjustor manager.  Nair enjoyed spending time with and talking to her family and friends, visiting family and friends in Brazil, making delicious food, going out to eat, and taking walks.  Nair attended Igreja Batista Amor e Graca in Porto Alegre, Brazil; The Church of our Savior in Chicago, IL; and Northwest Fellowship Baptist Church, Chicago, IL.  

Nair is survived by one daughter, Silvia (Brad) Jesse, St. Augustine, FL; and two grandchildren, Elias and Isabel Jesse.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband Ryszard, her two brothers and parents.  Graveside services will be held on Friday November 10th, 2023 at 10:00am, at Ponte Vedra Valley Funeral Home, 4750 Palm Valley Road, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082.
