Nancy Benton Meagher, 86, daughter of the late Charles V. Benton and Dorothy C. Benton of New York, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2016.  She was born in Burlington, Vermont and attended Emma Willard School.  She was a loving mother to Richard H. Meagher III (Carolyn) of Cary, North Carolina, Pauline M. Rice of Ponte Vedra, Florida, and Dorothy B. Meagher of Sudbury, Massachusetts.  She was grandmother to Hayley M. Shine (Stefan) and Ryan H. Meagher (Kristy).  She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Braden Meagher and Briana Meagher.  In addition, she leaves two nephews, Clark Benton and Thomas N. Benton by her late brother, Clark Benton.

She graciously lived a long life, loved her family, and cherished those held close to her heart.  A memorial service will be held at Ponte Vedra Valley, 4750 Palm Valley Road, Ponte Vedra Beach, on August 12, 2016 at 11:00AM.
