Nicholas Robert Fox, age 22, of Ponte Vedra, Florida, passed away on November 25, 2024. Born on October 26, 2002, in Jacksonville, Florida, Nicholas was the beloved son of David and Brandy Fox.
Nicholas was an energetic and passionate young man, whose love for life was evident in everything he did. From a young age, he was an active athlete who played baseball, football, and tennis. He approached each sport with the same dedication and enthusiasm he brought to everyday life. He graduated from Fletcher High School in 2021, and continued his education at the University of North Florida (UNF). Nicholas was a proud member of the Alpha Tau Omega (ATO) fraternity and was due to graduate in May with a major in business.
Despite his youth, Nicholas was known for his deep sense of family. He always placed his loved ones at the center of his life and proudly supported his siblings in their athletic successes. Nicholas treasured family time. Whether that time came in the form of fishing trips, family vacations, relaxing on the beach or making memories at home, his family will forever remember the warmth he brought to every occasion.
Nicholas had a rare gift: he could light up any room with his infectious smile and laughter. His ability to spread positivity and build lasting friendships was extraordinary. Nicholas radiated a special energy that left an indelible mark on everyone he met – family, friends, and strangers alike.
Although his time with us was short, Nicholas lived a full and adventurous life. Growing up in a boating family, the ocean was in his veins. From a young age, he had a profound love for the sea, and nothing brought him more joy than fishing trips with his father. As he grew older, his passion for the water deepened, and he became an avid diver and spear-fisher often boasting with a smile that his skills had surpassed those of his father’s.
Nicholas lived for the thrill of the catch; however, his adventurous spirit wasn’t limited to the ocean. From his first visit out west with his family as a young boy, Nicholas was captivated by the majesty of the mountains. He quickly fell in love with snowboarding and forever after felt the thrilling pull of the slopes. Nicholas sought every opportunity to return, eager to chase the next adventure.
Nicholas came to know the Lord at four-years-old. His faith deepened as he matured in Christ until he was baptized at the age of nine.
Nicholas is survived by his parents, David and Brandy Fox; his younger siblings, Sophie and Noah Fox; as well as his grandparents, Robert and Bonnie Fox and Ronald and Vickie Ratliff. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Judy Fox. He also leaves behind aunts, uncles, and cousins with whom he shared special relationships.
Though his life was taken too soon, Nicholas’s legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him. His laughter, kindness, and zeal for life will forever be remembered.
