Norma Andino-Cruz, 72, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away April 5, 2020. She was born March 25, 1948, in New York, NY, to Samuel and Aida Andino. Norma was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who loved dancing and music. She enjoyed computers and was the business owner of Technologic, a technology and computer store. Norma was a strong member of her community, was an AIDS Advocate, and was on the Board of the Girl Scouts of America in New York. She was also a Real Estate Agent, Notary Public, and worked for NY Telephone Co., as a switchboard operator and stayed through every iteration of the phone company until her retirement from Verizon, and second retirement from AT&T. Norma is survived by her husband, Julio Cruz; four children, Aida, Fred, Peter and Xiomara; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her three loving siblings, Gena, Mitzi, and Sandor; along with many other beloved family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family is kindly asking you consider a donation to a local STEM initiative for girls, cancer research, or your local community hospice.
