Norman Edward Hinchee, Jr.,71, better known as Sonny, passed away surrounded by his sister, Deb, and close friends on October 24, 2018. He was Born in Roanoke, Virginia, on June 29, 1947. Sonny lived in Atlantic Beach most of his adult life. He was Director of Operations for Chart House Corporation, he was also the previous owner of Crustaceans Restaurant, and owner of Beach Neon and Sign Company. Sonny always lived life to the fullest and surrounded himself with friends. He loved the beach, riding his Harley Davidson, taking his boat down the Intercoastal Waterway, and taking his Airstream to visit friends. Sonny proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy; his father and half-brother were also in the Navy. Sonny earned his Bachelor’s degree from Jacksonville University. He is survived by his sister, Deborah Hinchee of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida; his sister, Lillie Tufts of Columbus, Ohio; and half-brother James Mounts of Williamsburg, Virginia.
