Penny Ann Green Waller passed away peacefully at the age of 69 on August 27, 2023, in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. She was born on August 26, 1954 in Memphis, Tennessee.
Penny was an adoring wife for forty-six years to husband Edward Waller. Their love-at-first-sight story had Penny "floating on air" when she first met Ed; a story that will endure time and a legacy that will continue to shine through their children and grandchildren. Her greatest accomplishment and joy in life was loving Ed and raising their three children: Jennifer, Kelly and Edward III.
If you were lucky enough to know her, you would know that Penny lit up every room with her beautiful, genuine smile. Her radiant, upbeat personality brought immense love, light and pure joy to those around her. She had a true gift of making you feel like you were the only person in the room.
As a Navy daughter, wife and mom, Penny was proud of the accomplishments of her family. She graduated from Jacksonville University with a Bachelor of Science. Penny was also a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority at JU and maintained close friendships with her sorority sisters throughout her life. Penny also enjoyed spending free time with the wonderful ladies of her book club and the Ponte Vedra Women’s Club.
Penny is survived by her husband Edward Carson Waller; her daughter Jennifer (Joe) Leigh Waller Malzacher; their children Carson and Andrew; her daughter Kelly (Bilal) Elizabeth Waller Agha; their children Makai and Senna; her son Edward Carson Waller III; her brothers, David Green, Norman Green, and Michael (Deborah) Green as well as many amazing nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Green, mother, Mary Ann McCarthy Green, and her sister, Patty Green Hudgins.
Rest in peace, Sweet Penny. Your spirit will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Our Lady Star of the Sea, Ponte Vedra Beach.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday September 22, 2023, 11:00 am, to celebrate Penny’s life at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church (545 A1A North, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082).
