Rachel Clare Nuttall (Gee) age 38, passed peacefully, surrounded by her husband, daughter, friends and family on October 28, 2022, at their home in Saint Johns, Florida, after a determined battle with cancer.

Rachel was born on July 10, 1984, in Dover, England, to Julian and Christine Gee and grew up in Gales Ferry, CT, and Chappaqua, NY. She graduated from Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua and went on to Tulane University in New Orleans where she met her husband, Grey. She subsequently graduated from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and practiced both equine and small animal veterinary medicine in New Jersey, Massachusetts, and finally Florida.

In 2007, Rachel married Grey Nuttall. Rachel and Grey shared more than twenty years of happiness together through college, marriage, and parenthood. Rachel is survived by her parents, husband, and daughter, Keira, age six.

Besides spending time with her family and friends, Rachel had a passion for horseback riding, scuba diving, camping, and hiking. When hiking was no longer possible, she took up off-roading with her husband as she was always a keen navigator. She will always be remembered as a wife, a mother and veterinarian with a compassion for animals and an extraordinary ability for organizing family vacations, cross-country relocations, and running what amounted to a small family zoo. She adored her daughter and touched many lives with her care and passion for life.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering on Sunday, November 13, 2022, 2pm, at Ponte Vedra Valley Funeral Home located at 4750 Palm Valley Road, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, 32082. The family requests colorful attire, her favorite color was purple.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to Old Friends Thoroughbred Retirement Farm: https://oldfriendsequine.org

or

Colon Cancer Coalition: https://coloncancercoalition.org/donate/general-fund.
