In Loving Memory of Reece William Cramer
June 18th, 1957-July 16th, 2024
Fly Reece to the Moon
Let him play among the stars…
Fill his heart with song.
And let him sing forever more…
He is all we longed for,
all we could hope for and adored.
On July 16th, 2024, the world dimmed a little, but heaven lit up as Reece Cramer, aged 67, bid us farewell with a Van Halen jump into God’s arms.
Born on June 18th, 1957, in Rockford, IL, to Patricia and Harry Cramer, Reece grew up in Hopewell, New Jersey and he studied and worked in Rockford, IL. He found his forever home in Saint Augustine, Florida, where he met his soulmate, Pam. Together they raised their two children Caroline and Clay on the Ridge at the Cramer Farm.
Reece leaves behind his devoted wife of 36 years, Pam, and his Children; Caroline Postoak (Seth) and Clay Cramer (Morgan), and his brother, Hank (Evelyn). He was known affectionately as "Pop," by his three adoring grandchildren—James and Reece Postoak and Grace Cramer.
When God made Reece, he crafted a gentle giant with the kindest of souls. Reece's spirit lives on through the memories he created. Storytelling came easily to him, and the stories he told were as tall as him. The “Big Guy” was a rare find and a beacon of joy. He found great happiness in the company of family and friends, toasting good times. Holiday traditions were as special to him as the laid-back moments he shared with his pals at the “The Barn." He loved his yearly trips to Vermont and skiing with his brother Hank. Woodworking, storytelling, and his love for music were some of the many threads that colored his life. Above all else, though, Reece devoted most of his time making dreams a reality for his family and soaking in the smiles he sparked. He will always be our “North Star”.
Universally adored, Reece's absence will be felt deeply by all who were lucky enough to know him. May his memory be a melody that lingers in our hearts forever.
In the words of the Big Guy, “Have fun without me!”
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
