Robert F. Deaver II, of Jacksonville, Florida, formerly of McColl, South Carolina, passed into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."
- Revelation 21:4 (KJV)
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Deaver and Linda Deaver; his paternal grandparents, Johnnie Deaver and Onita Deaver; and his maternal grandparents, George Wilson Wright, Sr. and Rosalyn Jones Mangum.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Janice L. Deaver; his daughter, Joy L. Gratia (Brian); his son, Robert F. Deaver III; his grandchildren, Ashton B. Locklear, Kiara L. Scott, and Hayven O. Scott; his great-grandchildren, Kyler, Amorah, Khaleel, and Jesiah; his brother, Garry Wayne Deaver (Amanda); and his sister, Ashley Denise Deaver.
Mr. Deaver loved to travel around the world. In addition to traveling to Shanghai, China, he also traveled to places such as Tombstone, AZ; Charleston, SC; Gatlinburg, TN; Pigeon Forge, TN; Cass, WV; Gettysburg, PA; and many other places to get into trouble (the good kind).
Due to his appreciation, dedication, and enthusiasm for football and baseball, his travels were often planned to include sporting events. It did not matter if it were collegiate or professional. When it came down to college sports, he was a steadfast supporter of the Clemson Tigers, offering unwavering encouragement in every contest. In addition, he found great enjoyment of motor racing, attending numerous NASCAR and local track racing. These events are where everlasting memories were created with both family and friends.
He held his professional family at Stenner Pump Company in high esteem. During his tenure, he established enduring friendships and accumulated professional experiences that he regarded as priceless.
Among those who held a profound place in his life were his faithful canine companions, Lady Lexus and Athena. They were by his side at every possible moment, sharing an inseparable bond marked by unwavering devotion. Their love for him was as deep and steadfast as his love for them, and their companionship brought him immeasurable comfort and joy.
Though gone too soon, the family is grateful for the precious moments and treasured memories bestowed upon them. The memories shared with him will be forever loved and everlasting.
The family of Robert F. Deaver II expresses their sincere appreciation and gratitude to all who extended condolences, prayers, support, and visitation during this period of bereavement.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. (or 1500 local).
