HOLLAND Sam C. Holland, 91, passed away peacefully April 16, 2014. He was born to Samuel and Mary Holland on January 13, 1923 in Doylestown, OH. Sam and his wife Virginia (who passed away last October) lived in the Jacksonville area for 68 years and Ponte Vedra Beach for the past 22 years. He was a proud veteran who served in the Army during WWII. Sam enjoyed spending time at the Jacksonville Beach Pier and having the opportunity to make new acquaintances there. Sam is survived by his daughter, Kathleen DeWitt of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; sons, Thomas (Marcia) Holland of Sun City, AZ and Robert (Renate) Holland of Weisbaden, Germany; grandson, Mark (Barbara) DeWitt of Jacksonville, FL, and great grandchildren, Brantley, Holland and Harrison.
