SALVAGGIO Shirley Salvaggio, 78, our beloved mother, grandmother and friend passed away on Wednesday, July 30, in Jacksonville, FL. Shirley was a devoted mother and friend who always went out of her way to make others feel welcomed and important. She was a wonderful hostess and life of the party who made amazing spaghetti and meatballs. She was a loving grandmother who doted on her grandchildren and made them laugh with her silly Donald Duck impressions. Shirley could light up a room with her presence and was able to make any plant grow with her exceptional gardening skills. Later in her life, she took up painting which gave her peace and joy. While her artwork and wonderful memories will be left behind, she will be sorely missed by all that were privileged to know her. Shirley is survived by her daughter, son-in-law, two grandchildren and ex-husband. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at the Carriage Club on Sunday, August 3, at 4:00 pm.
