Stephen Fiumefreddo, 33, of St. Augustine, Florida, passed away on October 6, 2026.

Raised in Bridgewater, New Jersey, Stephen was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend whose kind heart, gentle spirit, and wonderful sense of humor touched the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. Stephen graduated from Immaculata High School and received his associate’s degree in criminal justice. He was proud of his time as a volunteer firefighter and security guard.

Stephen was known for his kindness, empathy, and deeply caring nature. He had a sensitive soul, a protective heart, and a special ability to make those around him laugh. His humor brought so much joy to his family, filling their time together with laughter and memories they will forever treasure. Above all, Stephen loved his family and was always looking out for his siblings, especially his little sisters.

Growing up, Stephen could often be found following in the footsteps of his older brother, Chris. A natural athlete, he especially excelled at basketball and had an incredible ability to sink three-pointers.

Stephen also shared a special bond with his younger sister, Mary Kate. Together, they made wonderful memories during their trips to Disney World and Universal Orlando, enjoying adventures, laughter, and time spent together.

In recent years, Stephen found happiness in life's simple pleasures, especially walking along the beach of St. Augustine with his beloved English bulldog, Eli, whom he affectionately nicknamed "Poo Bear". He also loved spending time watching sports with his dad, and long chats with his mom.

Stephen will be remembered for his compassionate heart, his humor, his gentle nature, and the love he had for those closest to him. He had a way of making ordinary moments memorable, whether through a funny comment, a shared laugh, or simply being there for the people he loved.

Stephen is survived by his loving parents, Diane and Charlie Fiumefreddo; his siblings, Chris, Grace, and Mary Kate; paternal grandmother Sarah Fiumefreddo, and extended family and friends who will forever cherish his memory. Stephen is predeceased by his grandparents, Charlie Fiumefreddo, Richard O'Neill, and Eleanor O'Neill.

Though his time here was far too short, the love he gave, the laughter he inspired, and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in loving memory of Stephen to the HeadsUpGuys Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting men’s mental health and raising awareness about depression.
