Virginia Weiss Connors, age 92, passed away surrounded by loved ones on November 1, 2019. Virginia was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 10, 1927, after which she moved with her family to Buffalo, NY.
Virginia graduated High School from Holy Angels Academy in Buffalo, NY, and then went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY with a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish. Following college, Virginia “Ginny” married her lifetime partner, Robert L. Connors. Ginny used her hard earned degree for several years in private industry before devoting her life to having and raising her family of five children with Bob. Ginny and Bob lived in New York, Virginia, Georgia and Pennsylvania before moving to Florida for the better part of their retirement years. Ginny and Bob enjoyed traveling and Ginny volunteered at Gumbo Limbo Nature Center in Boca Raton, FL and at Baptist Beaches Hospital in Jacksonville Beach, FL. Ginny was known for her extremely warm heart, intelligence and dedication to family. Ginny will always be remembered as a beautiful loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Virginia Connors is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Edward Weiss and Clara Cecile Dunkert; her sister, Shirley May Clayson; and her son, Henry Edward Connors. Virginia is survived by her husband of 67 years, Robert L. Connors; children, Frank J. Connors, Alyce (Connors) and James Ball, Nancy Connors (widow of Henry Connors), Robert Jr. and Beth Connors, and Helen(Connors) and David Grant; her 11 grandchildren, Claire, Paul, Michael, Kathleen, Amanda, Megan, Alyce, Barbara, Bobby, John, and David; and her 7great-grandchildren, Taraji, Beth, Dorothy, Mae, Silas, Jonah, and Cooper.
