Warren Maxwell Hendricks went to be with the Lord on August 27, 2016.  A native of Jacksonville, he was born on March 5, 1923 and graduated from Andrew Jackson High School.  He was a proud veteran of World War II, where he served in the Army Air Corp and was stationed in England.

He is predeceased by his first wife, Frances; parents, Caulie and Mary Alberta; brother, Francis Jack; and his twin sister, Wanda King.  He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; daughter, Lynn Rogers; son, Dale; stepdaughters, Jodi Yarbrough and Faith McClellan; stepson, Paul; along with 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Warren was a very active member of Beaches United Methodist Church serving in many capacities, before becoming a regular member at Ponte Vedra United Methodist Church.  He enjoyed being in the Sertoma Club and working on the board of Pablo Towers.  After they moved to Brookdale Southside, Warren continued an active life playing Bingo, Trivia, and cheering for the Jags and Gators.  He will be remembered most for the patriotic and historical talks he loved to give for the residents there.  Warren will be missed by all who knew him, but will be held close to our hearts through our many fond memories.

Services will be held at Ponte Vedra United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 3, 2016, with a visitation from 10 am to noon, followed immediately by a funeral services at noon.  Burial with military honors to be held after the funeral service at Greenlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida or The Salvation Army.
