WILLIAM EARL (BILL) HAINES
April 5, 1950 – October 11, 2025
Bill Haines passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the age of 75, at his home in Jacksonville Beach, FL. Bill was born in Media, PA, to Robert and Grace (nee Parsons) Haines, both of whom predeceased him. He was also predeceased by his three brothers, Bobby, Jack and Rick Haines.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Karen (nee White) Haines; nephews, Billy (Denise), John, Jeffery (Kristina), Nicholas Haines; and niece, Brenda Duffy (John). Numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Bill was a graduate of Penn State University and held a Masters degree from the University of Michigan. He spent his career as an insurance professional in many states across the nation, ending his work life in Jacksonville Beach, FL, where he met his wife Karen. In his retirement years, Bill enjoyed golf, travel, entertaining friends, following his alma mater football teams and NASCAR.
In his younger days, Bill was an amateur racecar driver of vintage cars with Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) in southern California.
A celebration of life will be held in Media, PA, on October 25, 2025 and in Ponte Vedra Beach on October 30, 2025. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation in Bill’s memory.
