William Edward Benjamin of Port Orange, FL, passed away on September 22, 2026 at the age of 83. Bill was born on September 8, 1943 in Newark, New Jersey. He graduated from Dupont High School in Jacksonville, FL in 1961. Bill attended Georgia Military School, then graduated from University of Georgia and received a Masters from FIT in Science. Bill was in the Army for 23 years and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He then went on to work at several aerospace and defense contractors for many years. Bill's passion was mechanics and he restored many automobiles and at least 23 corvettes. He also built a LANCAIR airplane and flew for many years. Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy. He is survived by his current wife, Peggy; sister, Carol; brother-in-law, Darryl; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no service and his ashes will be scattered over the areas he loved to fly.
